An American actor, producer and comedian. Mr. Foxx sings, plays the piano, and harmonica.

My grandmother changed me as far as like music.  She got me into music.  She made me play classical piano, along with church music.  I’m all 'what’s this all about,' and I ended up going to college on a classical piano scholarship, so boom.
Jamie Foxx Interview from iHeartRadio 2
Estelle (Foxx’s grandmother) decided to teach Eric (Foxx’s real name) to play the piano when he was just three years old, and he learned easily.  She saw something special in Eric that she wanted to nurture, so when Eric turned five, Estelle signed him up for piano lessons from a professional teacher.  […] Eric quickly developed a deep passion for music.  The study of music helped Eric’s reading and memory, which in turn helped him to excel academically in school.
