An Uruguayan poet who played the piano.

...the daughter of an Uruguayan family of the upper bourgeoisie.  Her education was one becoming a woman of her class and her time; playing the piano and writing verses were the prized adornments.

...all of Agustini’s education was home based.  As noted by Clara Silva, her primary teacher was her mother, from whom she received all basic instruction.  She also took classes in piano, painting and French.
